Media language and representation
In this task I am going to analyse how combinations of media language is used to create meaning and construct representation that address and appeal to an intended audience. Song 1: Written in the stars by Tinie Tempah ft. Eric Turner The use of the long shots/ medium shots conveys the storyline that the singer is singing about. It shows how the young boy portraying Tinie Tempah struggles with bullying and his mother being abused to get money. The use of the neutral colours in the video creates a realistic setting throughout the music video and bring the main character to life. By shooting scenes of Tinie Tempah singing on the roof, the audience is lead to believe that he is shouting and wants his voice to be heard. This add further emphasise to the pianist playing in an empty room as it shows that he trapped in a room and the music is the only thing that he has.
